This collection, which dates from 1958 to 1962, consists of memorabilia and ephemera that relates to Mary Roberta Harris Clodfelter and Longwood College.
- Biographical / historical:

Mary Roberta Harris of Hampton, Virginia attended Longwood College from 1958 to 1962, graduating with an A.B. in Secondary Education. While a student at Longwood College, Harris was on the staff of the Rotunda (student newspaper) and the Virginian m (yearbook). As well, she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the Spanish Club, the Longwood Library League, and played on the class field hockey and basketball teams. Additionally, she served as President of the Lychnos Society, Secretary of Pi Delta Epsilon, and was on the House Council.
After graduation, Mary Roberta Harris worked as a teacher for many years in the Virginia Beach public school system. In 1963, she married Harve Malone Clodfelter, Jr., a chemistry teacher and veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Mary Roberta Harris Clodfelter originally assembled these materials during her time as a student at Longwood College. Nancy Shelton subsequently acquired the collection during her tenure with the Longwood University Department of Alumni Relations. It is unknown when the collection was transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives.
