The grades slips in this collection, which date from 1921, detail grades earned by Etta Belle Walker for classes taken at State Normal School for Women.
- Biographical / historical:

Etta Belle Walker of Emporia, Virginia was born in 1902 to Junius Dalby and Etta Bella Cato Walker. In 1919, she enrolled as a student in the State Normal School for Women in Farmville, Virginia and earned her diploma in 1922. While a student at State Normal School for Women, Walker served on the YWCA Membership Committee, and was a member of the Cunningham Literary Society, D.I.R.K., the Guitar and Mandolin Club, Glee Club, the Athletic Association, El Circulo Espanol (Spanish Club), and Le Cercle Francais (French Club). After graduation, Etta Belle Walker earned her bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary in 1924.
