This collection, which dates from 1957 to 1959, consists of ephemeral items accumulated by Cora Straughan while a student at Longwood College.
- Biographical / historical:

Cora Garland Straughan of Northumberland County, Virginia was born in 1938 to Howard Randolph and Ann Rice Straughan. From 1957 to 1959, Straughan attended then-Longwood College. While a student at Longwood, she served as Freshman and Sophomore Class Secretary, Secretary of the Northern Neck Club, and was a member of Kappa Delta and the Canterbury Club.

The items in this collection were accumulated by Cora Straughan while a student at Longwood College. The collection was later acquired by Nancy Shelton during her tenure with the Longwood University Department of Alumni Relations. It is unknown when the collection as transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives.
