This collection of ephemeral materials, which dates from 1921, includes a matriculation notice and wash list receipt.

Biographical / historical:

Beulah Margaret Etheredge of Norfolk, Virginia was born in 1903 to Samuel Norfleet and Georgie Halstead Etheredge. In 1921, Etheredge enrolled as a student at then-State Female Normal School in Farmville, Virginia. In 1925, she married Henry George White, a building supply salesman from Savannah, Georgia.

Custodial history:

The materials in this collection, which relate to Beulah Margaret Etheredge as a student at State Female Normal School, were later acquired by Nancy Shelton during her tenure with the Longwood University Department of Alumni Relations. It is unknown when this collection was transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives.
