This collection consists of (2) programs from the university designation signing ceremony (1) invitation/RSVP card for the ceremony, and the pen, handcrafted by Kevin John Meadowcroft and used by Governor Warner at the ceremony.

On April 24, 2002, Virginia Governor Mark R. Warner signed legislation officially making Longwood College, Longwood University. At this ceremony, Governor Warner used a pen handcrafted by [then] Longwood student Kevin John Meadowcroft.
