This scrapbook, which dates from 1926 to 1967, contains photographs, newspaper clippings, and ephemera related to the State Teachers College class of 1926. While some of the items in the scrapbook date to the years when the members were in attendance, the majority of the materials date from later years, including important milestones in member's lives and major reunion years for the class of 1926.

Cora Helen Meeks was born in 1905 in Farmville, Virginia. From 1922 to 1926 she attended [then] State Teachers College, graduating with a bachelor's degree in English. While at the school Meeks was a member of the Choral Club, the Guitar and Mandolin Club, the Prince Edward Club, the Athletic Association, and the YWCA. After graduation, she taught for many years at Hopewell High School.

This scrapbook was compiled by Cora Helen Meeks Anthony and donated to [then] Longwood College in 1960. Judging from the contents of the scrapbook, it is likely that she subsequently added material to the book at later dates. The scrapbook was transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives in spring 2005 by the Longwood University Office of Alumni Affairs.
