Background

Scope and content:

This collection consists of print materials documenting sports-related activities and events from 1926/27 through 1963/64. Beginning with the 1942/43 academic year, minutes of Athletic Association meetings and lists of members are included.

Biographical / historical:

The materials in this collection are related to the Athletic Association at two previous incarnations of Longwood University: 1) the State Teachers College at Farmville and 2) Longwood College.

Custodial history:

These records were transferred from the Athletics Department at Longwood University to the Greenwood Library Archives in 2009.
