Folder 1: Photocopies of newspaper clippings and photographs of the 1931 and 1954 fire of Brown's Gifts, and a 12-page typed history of the store.

Folder 2: Photocopies of personal documents of Jerry Nelson Brown (1905-1986), including a lease agreement for the Altamont Apartments (1929), a school certificate of distinction (1918), marriage certificate (1929), invitation to a UVA Alpha Rho Chi event (1926), and an advertisement for Charlottesville Bargain Days (1968).

Folder 3: Living on the Mountain: A Memoir by Susan Brown Craig. Burnt Tower Press, 2006. A history of Carter's Mountain and the Brown Family's ownership of the property before its purchase by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation.
