Scope and content:

This collection consists of folders from individual donors of materials from McIntire High School.

Biographical / historical:

McIntire High School opened in Fall 1937 for Albemarle County's white public school students. It housed grades 1st through high school until 1953, when the consolidated Albemarle High School opened. McIntire then became an elementary school with grades 1st through 7th. The school closed in the 1970s.
