Scope and content:

Four reprints of black and white photographs of aviators in the Belmont neighborhood in Charlottesville, Va., c.1915. According to the donor, they were French aviators forced to land due to mechanical problems. Charles B. Sparks, Sr. took the original photographs. In one photograph, a boy holding a bugle is identified as George Levi Smith.
