Background

Scope and content:

Folder one includes newspaper clippings that have baking/cooking recipes on them, some of which are from various columns written by homemakers. There are recipes for pies, potato salads, and stews. Folder two has recipes that were handwritten or typed. There are no recipe origins listed on the papers and the majority are for baked goods. Folder three contains five recipe books. Two are Christmas dinner recipes, one has items that can be made in a bundt cake pan, another is recipes for a pressure cooker, and the last is for poultry dishes. Folder four includes box recipes, that were cut out from different ingredient containers. Such as, pecans, vanilla wafers, and flour boxes. Folder five contains materials not including recipes. There are four appliance booklets that show a range of cooking products, along with household appliances, such as dishwashers and sinks. A letter is included, dated June 12, 1987, and is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Viens(?). The letter was written by a Bill, and included a memorial service pamphlet for J.R.
