The Benjamin Martin Land Grant collection consists of a land grant issued to Benjamin Martin in Virginia, December 31, 1795. The grant is for approximatley 18,000 acres in and around Montgomery County and Elliotts Creek, Virginia.

Biographical / historical:

Benjamin Martin was a surveyor who surveyed and obtained patents to tens of thousands of acres in and around Montgomery County, including the area around Elliotts Creek.
