Scope and content:

The collection contains three awards given to Price for "having been distinguished by attaining to an average of three-fourths in all his Examinations" over the course of three consecutive school years (1882-1885). All three certificates are signed by Thomas Nelson Conrad, president of VAMC from 1880 to 1886.

Biographical / historical:

A. E. F. Price graduated from Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College in 1886. Originally from Blacksburg, Virginia, he was a teacher and farmer in Montgomery County. He passed away August 20, 1893.

The A. E. F. Price Certificates were donated to Special Collections in 2010.
