The Edward L. Stratton Diary was written by an American Civil War soldier who served in the 122nd Pennsylvania Infantry, and it covers military action, army medicine, battle wounds, and hospital life and work. The diary describes his experiences during the war and contains entries written between 1862-1864. At the back of the diary is biographical information. Also included are several pieces of correspondence, and some diary entries written on separate sheets of paper.
