Scope and content:

The Virginia Tech Rescue Squad Papers contain the minutes of the Rescue Squad's executive board, which span the years 1970-1994.

Biographical / historical:

The mission of the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad, which was founded in 1969, is to provide emergency medical care to the campus community of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. All personnel are volunteers. The majority of the personnel are undergraduate students. Some faculty, graduate students, and Blacksburg citizens participate in the squad as Associate Members.
