Amelia County (Va.) Public Buildings and Grounds, Plan of the new courthouse, 1791, consists of one-page specifications with a small attached drawing depicting a T-shaped courthouse building. The drawing shows jury rooms flanking the central courtroom. Also included is the bond for the construction by John Booker, Sr., William Cross Craddock, and John Booker, Jr.

Amelia County was formed in 1734 from Brunswick and Prince George counties.
