Fayette County (Ky.) Land Grants, 1787 and 1790. The collection contains a land grant to Hancock Lee, heir at law to Willis Lee, 1790 May 25; and a land grant to Achiles Helens, heir at law to Leonard Helens, 1787 May 18.
- Biographical / historical:

Fayette County was named for the Marquis de Lafayette. It was created in 1780 and was one of the original counties that made up the district of Kentucky. Fayette County consisted of the northern and eastern portions of the present state. Fayette County became a part of the state of Kentucky when it was created in June 1792.

- The Robert Alonzo Brock Collection was filmed by The Huntington Library in cooperation with The Library of Virginia with funding provided by The Library of Virginia Foundation with the support of The Roller-Bottimore Foundation and The Robins Foundation. Microfilm received 15 April 2004.
