Westmoreland County (Va.) Deed of Bargain and Sale and Dedimus, James Dodd and Wife to John Rieusset, 1794 July 29. The deed documents the sale of 130 acres of land and appurtenances in the White Oak Swamp, Washington Parish.
Also included is a writ of dedimus granting county justices William Nelson, Archibald Campbell, and William Monroe the right to act for Patty Dodd in acknowledging the deed, to save her the inconvenience of traveling to the courthouse.
