Scope and content:

Bedford County (Va.) Records, 1772-1800. Consists of two judgments, Burton v. Haynes, ca. 1797; and Evans v. Frederick, ca. 1799; the estate account of Richard Dearen, 1772; and a petition and report, 1800, pertaining to a proposed road from Davies' Ferry Road at the upper end of Philip Burton's plantation to the county line.

Biographical / historical:

Bedford County was formed in 1753 from Lunenburg County. Part of Albemarle was added in 1754 and part of Lunenburg was added later.
