Wythe County (Va.) Receipt of Payment to Soldier's Family from the County Court, 18 February 1863. Consists of a receipt for four dollars paid to G.F.S. Trigg, Commissioner of the 4th District, for the benefit of the family of Noah Aker, a soldier in the 57th Virginia Regiment.

Biographical / historical:

Wythe County was formed in 1789 from Montgomery County. Part of Grayson County was added in 1825.
