Bedford County (Va.) Order to Examine Witnesses in a Chancery Cause, 1785. Consists of an order to Alexander St. Clair and Robert Gamble, Gentlemen, of Augusta County (Va.), to examine witnesses for the Bedford County chancery cause of Joseph Poindexter vs. James Gatewood.

Biographical / historical:

Bedford County was formed in 1753 from Lunenburg County. Part of Albemarle County was added in 1753 and part of Lunenburg was added later.
