Records, 1790-1826, of Powhatan County Circuit Court consist of a deposition related to an election dispute (1792); miscellaneous documents related to money collected by Deputy Sheriff William H. Perkins on behalf of the county (1811-1826); and a copy of road surveyor appointment (1790.)
- Biographical / historical:

Powhatan County was formed in 1777 from Cumberland County. Part of Chesterfield County was added in 1850. It was named either for the Indian chieftan who ruled the Native American inhabitants of tidewater Virginia in the early seventeenth century.

- The Robert Alonzo Brock Collection was filmed by The Huntington Library in cooperation with The Library of Virginia with funding provided by The Library of Virginia Foundation with the support of The Roller- Bottimore Foundation and The Robins Foundation. Microfilm received 15 April 2004.
