Records, 1799-1870, of Goochland County consist of tax and fiscal records (1804), application for appointment as deputy marshal for taking the census of Goochland County (1870), criminal papers (1839), fiduciary records (1820), papers related to miscellaneous suits including judgments (1827, 1852, 1857, 1859) and chancery causes (1863, 1869), miscellaneous papers (1799, 1805, 1868), and wills (1824, 1856.)
Chancery papers include a copy of the decree and affidavit, 1863, in the chancery cause Samuel C. Greenhow versus Administrator of Thomas Crouch and others and the bill, 1869, in the chancery cause James W. Logan and another versus William Crutchfield and another.
Will, 1824, of Thomas Hawthorne and a copy of the will, 1856, of John Martin.
