Alexandria County (Va.) Circuit Court Records Records, 1868-1898, consist of miscellaneous court papers, most of which are related to criminal cases.

Biographical / historical:

Alexandria County was formed from Fairfax County in 1789. The area became a part of the District of Columbia in 1801. Congress returned Alexandria County to Virginia in 1846. The county's name was changed to Arlington County in 1920.

Acquisition information:

The Robert Alonzo Brock Collection was filmed by The Huntington Library in cooperation with The Library of Virginia with funding provided by The Library of Virginia Foundation with the support of The Roller-Bottimore Foundation and The Robins Foundation. Microfilm received 15 April 2004.
