The P. L. Williams and Company Ledger consist of a ledger, 1906-1908. It records the accounts of individual customers. Each account lists transactions in chronological order. Information found in each entry includes date of transaction, style of transaction (merchandise purchased, form of payment, etc.), quantity of item purchased, price of each item, and amount owed or paid. Merchandise sold includes dry goods, notions, clothing, shoes, groceries, hardware, and tobacco. Payments made by cash, check, credit, and barter (berries, chickens, butter, bacon, and cherries). Ledger is 600 pages.
