Museum of Chincoteague Island

The Museum of Chincoteague Island is a non-profit organization dedicated to acquiring, preserving, and exhibiting objects of historical or cultural value to Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. Our mission is to document and provide education to promote the Islands’ people, culture and heritage while striving to be the authority of knowledge and preservation for both Islands, engaging a diverse audience by presenting objects and experiences designed to evoke wonder, stimulate curiosity, educate, and inform residents, visitors, and partners to shape the future of the islands.
