Jones. The collection also documents the VCE's role in Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission, Virginia Association of Extension Secretaries, and their work within rural communities.

Abstract Or Scope

Record Group 32 contains materials gathered by various Arlington County managers and housed in their quasi-professional library existing from 1932, the year when the county manager form of government was adopted, until 1981. The collection consists largely of county-generated reports and other documents which the managers may have referred to over the years as they administered county business.

WAGE Radio Collection 1958-2003

Abstract Or Scope
This collection consists of documents, photographs, and WAGE Radio broadcast recordings, including reporting on local news and events, local sports, politics, and international affairs. Many of the recordings on international affairs were hosted by news director William Chewning III. The radio broadcast recordings were recorded on 1/4" analog reel to reel tapes and include end of the year actuality compilations (edited sound bites of broadcast journalists), broadcast highlights, news reports, and reports on events of local significance. The majority of the recordings are from the 1970s and 1980s with some recordings from the late 1950s, 1960s, and early 1990s. There are a total of 482 reel to reel tape recordings in the collection. The WAGE radio recordings are only accessible in digital format (.wav and mp3 format), which will be transferred to a CD on request for in-library use. Included in the collection are several pieces of equipment used by WAGE Radio to produce and present programs. There are also various photographs and other visual materials of WAGE Radio sponsored and related events, including photos of home and trade shows and a 16" by 20" framed collage. There are also documents and records of WAGE material and WAGE media in the manuscript and oversized materials including correspondence, Crystal Radio Award documents, newspaper articles, advertisements, and event posters.

The Records of the Secretary of Commerce and Trade are housed in 104 boxes. The collection is arranged into nine (9) series. Series have been designated for: I. Constituent Correspondence; II. Office of the Secretary; III. Planning and Budget Files; IV. State Agencies; V. Advisory Boards, Council and Commissions; VI. Development Projects and Initiatives Files; VII. Company Files-Prospects and Development; VIII. Governor's Opportunity Fund; and IX. Special Projects-Virginia Economic Development Partnership. These records include agreements, reports, correspondence, memorandums, budget documents, agendas, handouts, invitations, and speeches. This collection documents the work of the Secretary of Commerce and Trade under Governor Mark R. Warner.

The office was formerly known as the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Office of Minority Affairs. Abstract Or Scope

The Historical Photograph Collection is largely comprised of materials created by or for the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association. Some of the earliest photographs of the estate were created and sold to visitors by the Association as a means of income. Those efforts helped to establish an important collection of 19th century views. The collection spans the 1850s to 2000s and includes over 140 linear feet of analog material providing a visual history of the Mansion, outbuildings, tombs, grounds, events, visitors, collection objects, personnel, and changes throughout the estate.
