The Public Relations Photo Collection, 1965-1985 contains photographic prints, plus some slides and negatives from files found in in McConnell Library and photos taken by students working for different publications. The photographs in this collection were housed in a file cabinet that was delivered to Archives and Special Collections by Lora Gordon, University Photographer, in Spring 2009, and contains photographs taken by the Radford University Public Relations photographs and contract photographers from approximately 1980-2001. Radford Army Ammunition Plant Collection , 1941-1966 3.5 Linear feet

Radford Army Ammunition Plant
Construction on the Radford Army Ammunition Plant (a.k.a, Radford Arsenal) was started in September 1940, and the plant began producing powder in April 1941. Box 1 contains official publications, news clippings, and other materials related to the history of the Ammunition Plant from 1941 through the 1960s. Box 2 contains 71 issues of the plant's newsletter, The Radford Plant Weekly - "The Official Publication of the Radford Ordinance Works," dating from November 13, 1940 to May 14, 1942. Radford College - V.P.I. Merger Documents , 1928-1957 0.5 Linear feet

Contains reports, correspondence, publications, and newspaper clippings related to the merge of Radford University with Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1944, becoming Radford College, the Women's Division of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, a formal arrangement that lasted until 1964. The Radford Iron Company Collection contains deeds, wills, maps, ledger books, correspondence, and annual reports of the Radford Iron Company relating to its activities primarily in Pulaski County and Radford City.
