Across the Way Productions Inc. was founded in 2002 by Kris Hodges and Erika Johnson. The two wished to create a world music festival in Floyd, Virginia and thus Floyd Fest began in September of 2002. This collection features materials from the events Floyd Fest, Floyd Fandango, Vintage Virginia Wine and Food Festival, Virginia Wine Festival, Capital City Carnival and Microbrew Fest, Totally Rad Roanoke Star City Concert Series and The Phoenix all created by Across the Way Productions, Inc. Materials include advertising/promotional items, graphic design elements, the organization and logistics of the events, newspaper clippings, photographs, videos, live discs and mini discs of the events.

Virginia Anti-Saloon League Collection, 1835-1937

John Preston McConnell, first President of Radford University, was an avowed prohibitionist and served as President of the Virginia Anti-Saloon League from 1922-1930. After resigning his post as President of the Virginia Anti-Saloon League he continued as a member of its Executive Committee. McConnell served as a strong financial and moral supporter of the movement until his resignation from the office of President at Radford due to failing health. This collection contains correspondence between McConnell and various Prohibition leaders, politicians, civic and religious leaders, educators, and average citizens as well as newspaper articles, pamphlets, and other publications relating to Prohibition and the activities of the Virginia Anti-Saloon League.

Arthur Jospeh Goldberg (1908-1990) served as Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (1962-65), U. S. Secretary of Labor (1961-62), U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations(1965-68), and Distinguished VIsiting Professor at Radford University (1987-89). In the summer of 2000, the family of Arthur J. Goldberg donated his books from his personal working library, a selection of his papers (mostly speeches and articles) from the 1960s to the 1980s, and other items to Radford University's McConnell Library and the Radford University Archives. More than 1600 books, government publications, and periodicals from Arthur J. Goldberg's personal working library have been designated as the Goldberg Collection in McConnell Library's online catalog . The Arthur J. Goldberg Manuscript Collection contains writings and speeches by Justice Goldberg and his wife Dorothy.

Billy Edd Wheeler is a noted playwright and songwriter. He was born in 1932 in Boone County, West Virginia, and attended Warren Wilson College, Berea College, and Yale Drama School. Contains play, correspondence, and commentary originally bound in a metal-tabbed binder. The documents have been removed from the binder and place in folders. The binder is also included in this collection.
