A letter written by a father to his daughter Helen. The three page document is written on College of William and Mary stationary labeled with the name of President J.A.C Chandler. Within the letter, the father explains his plans to travel to other sites such as Jamestown and Richmond, and describes the old parish church he visited while in Williamsburg.

Based on information gathered by Special Collections staff in 2011, there appear to be three possible creators of the ledger: William Tandy Burrus (1766 or 1776-1831), WTB (?-prior to 1836?), or William Stevens (1773-1843).

Papers relating to the Woodbridge and Mendenhall Families including materials of Julia Woodbridge Oxrieder, folklorist and author; her brother, Hensley Woodbridge, a bibliographer of Latin American literature; and their parents, Dean of the College of William and Mary Law School, Dudley Woodbridge and his wife. Some material relates to Williamsburg, Virginia. The collection includes diaries, scrapbooks, photographs and other materials.

Assorted but unrelated materials from before, during and immediately after World War I, including a photograph of a young man in military uniform, labeled "Richard Flack"; an envelope addressed to Carlotta Howard; an invoice for stamps bought at the United States Military Academy; and a "Food Conservation Notes" newspaper.

Three used ration books from World War II: 1 book issued 5 May 1942, from Mariscopa, Arizona, three stamps still attached; and 2 books issued on 7 August 1941, from Kennewick, Washington, several pages of stamps attached.

Two images of the Wren Building on the campus of William & Mary. One is a etching, with Van Eiveldt written in lower right hand corner. The second image is a print cut from Henry Howe's 1844 book, Historical Collections of Virginia: containing a collection of the most interesting facts, traditions, biographical sketches, anecdotes, &c., relating to its history and antiquities..., and it appears to have been painted with watercolor at some point.

This collection contains minutes and agendas from board meetings, newsletters, bylaws, and event flyers as well as other material of the Yorktown Preservation Society from 2013-2015. Also included is a copy of the Yorktown Day Celebration program from 2014 and photographs of the Yorktown Preservation Society booth during the French sailing ship Hermione visit in June 2015.
