Certificates, newspaper articles, programs, and pamphlets regarding Benjamin (Benny) Zhang's position on Williamsburg's City Council, July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2020. Included in the collection are official and personal congratulation letters to Benjamin Zhang regarding his election to Williamsburg City Council in 2016, Baptism/ Confirmation of faith at Bruton Parish Church, and certificates from William & Mary. Zhang is a 2016 graduate of William & Mary.

The collection includes personal as well as offical papers of Channing M. Hall III of Williamsburg. Hall was a member of the Williamsburg City Council and most of the collection concerns the government of the Williamsburg, Virginia.

Professional and personal papers of Channing Moore Hall (1890-1953) attorney and mayor of Williamsburg. A box and folder list for accession 1992.66 of the collection is available in the Special Collections Research Center. Papers, circa 1980s-2000s, of Gil and Connie Granger of Williamsburg, Virginia. Gil Granger was mayor of Williamsburg from 1996 to 1998. The papers primarily deal with local political issues in Williamsburg and Yorktown, including land development, the visits of foreign dignitaries, and the Williamsburg Regional Library.

Papers of the William George and Gladys Bennett Guy family of Williamsburg, Virginia with additions from Joan Eastman Bennett. Includes correspondence, invitations, minutes, clippings, oral histories, notebooks, reports, photographs, written memories, essays and printed materials. Papers include items about water and gas, Williamsburg Landing, American Red Cross, Williamsburg United Service Organization, Williamsburg Female Academy, College of William and Mary and zoning regulations. Includes ephemera of Williamsburg, Virginia and personal material and correspondence of the Bennett Family and Guy Family of Williamsburg, Virginia. The original accession was received in 1985 with additions added through 2011.

Included are minutes of the Wise Light Infantry Co. of Williamsburg, 1881-1882; the College of William and Mary Alumni Association, 1906-1917; papers concerning the College of William and Mary including letters, 1873, from Benjamin S. Ewell; the Williamsburg Free School Trustees, 1870-1907; and the Democratic Committee of Williamsburg.

The bulk of the collection contains papers related to Stella Neiman while on the Williamsburg City Council. These include reports, minutes, agendas, clippings, and a report on the desegregation of the public schools. The collection also contain Professor Fraser Neiman's Harvard dissertation on English literature.

Material about and by Mayor Henry Stryker and Colonial Williamsburg hostess Fannie Stryker including reminiscences of Mrs. Stryker, photographic album on Mayor Stryker's retirement, scrapbook, 1957, of Jamestown Festival and visit of Queen Elizabeth. Mss. Acc. 1989.37a

Trist Bringier McConnell was a Williamsburg resident who served as a civic leader and Mayor. McConnell honorable served in the United States Navy (Reserve) and retired as a Captain. He was elected to city council in 1988 and served in a civic capacity until his death in 2005. Among his most noted accomplishments are the successful blocking of a Walmart in Williamsburg, and the proposed bridge from Jamestown to Surry. Additionally, McConnell chaired the 300th anniversary of the founding of Williamsburg. In addition to his elected appointments McConnell served on the Greater Williamsburg Community Trust, the Public Library Board, and the Swem Friends Board. The papers of this collection relate to the topics listed above.

Collection contains items donated by Will Molineux, primarily through the Williamsburg Historic Records Association. Some items are personal papers including newspaper articles, belonging to Will Molineux. The photograph collection documents Williamsburg, Virginia, including James City County and York County. Subjects include people, places, buildings, events, Colonial Williamsburg as well as the College of William & Mary.
