Contains records of Virginians for Dulles (VFD), a northern Virginia-based citizens action group committed to diverting air traffic from Washington National Airport to Dulles International Airport. Most of the materials in the collection date from 1968-1984, during the active years of Virginians for Dulles and its later title, Greater Washington Citizens for Dulles (GWCD). Documents include minutes and meeting agenda; correspondence between Virginians for Dulles board members, lawyers, politicians, and airline officials; legal briefs from civil suits filed by VFD against the Federal Aviation Administration and Washington National Airport; audiotapes; and various financial and administrative documents of VFD, among other materials.
