Notebook of University of Virginia student Robert Patterson.

This collection contains black-and-white negatives, color slides, and photographic prints, taken and collected by Roy Alson, as well as a few photographs by other photographers, and some printed materials. Alson, who graduated from the University of Virginia's College of Arts and Sciences in 1974, the same year as the first cohort of women to be admitted to the University, was a photographer for The Cavalier Daily and a photo editor for Corks and Curls.

This addition to the RG 7/ 6 School of Architecture/ Miscellaneous contains one cubic of correspondence, invoices, account books, invitations, meeting minutes, photographs, reports and manuals, clippings, art catalogs and exhibition lists, that document projects and work of various groups under the School of Architecture.

This collection contains the autograph album of Summerfield Smith (1836-1864), compiled while he was a student at the University of Virginia. Smith collected fifty-eight autographs of peers and professors at the University between 1856 and 1858. The red leather-bound autograph book contains entries that list a student's name, the date of entry, their location, where they lived away from the University, the "session" (i.e. 1857-58), and a personal note to Summerfield (referred to as "Summerfield", "S", or "Smith" throughout). Inscriptions include well-wishes for careers and family life, references to jokes between Summerfield and his friends, and descriptions of student life at the University of Virginia in the middle nineteenth century. Some entries did not include personal notes. Alongside the autographs of five men is their date of death during the Civil War, written in pencil.

This collection contains papers, correspondence, newspapers and clippings, publications, leaflets, and records on events, activities, and professional connections related to Thurman Wenzl's study as a graduate student at the University of Virginia (1963-1969). These materials document his efforts in the Civil Rights Movement and for worker's rights. The items include 1994 reunion materials of the Southern Student Organizing Committee (SSOC), information on the Radical Student Union of UVA, subject files on Charlottesville including clippings on police brutality, abortion, the Civil Rights Movement, early activism in Charlottesville, and several copies of The Virginia Weekly among other materials.

This collection documents the first-year experience of Wendy Martin, a student-athlete at the University of Virginia, class of 1991. The collection contains brochures, schedules, and correspondence collected by Martin, including materials sent to incoming first-year students, student activities brochures, materials from housing, honor code documents, and materials related to Track and Field, including correspondence, schedules, and brochures. It also includes her application for admission to UVA.

This collection consists of 7 diaries that William Taylor Baskett (1884-1972) created to document his life in 1903 and 1904, including his experiences as a University of Virginia School of Law student. It also contains digital copies of the diaries and digital files the donor created while researching Baskett.
