A land survey of the property of the Blue Sulphur Springs Resort of Greenbrier County including land (24 acres), cabins, dining house and stables. Conducted by David Hanna, the survey was ordered by the Greenbrier County Superior Court in order to settle a transaction dispute regarding the sale of the property by Nancy Patterson and the heirs of James Patterson to Joseph Martin and Charles Carraway.

Greenbrier County
A 12 x 20 facsimile of the petition for the formation of Greenbrier County, handwritten by John Stewart who is considered the "Father of Greenbrier County". The petition, signed by 75 settlers who were heads of households, requested that the state of Virginia form a new county to facilitate the handling of their land claims in a court of local jurisdiction. It cites the area of land, size of population, frontier conditions, and rugged terrain as a justification for the new county of Greenbrier.

Original land deed signed by Beverley Randolph, Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, 9 July 1787. The deed designates four thousand acres, in Greenbrier County, Virginia on the waters of the Gauley River to Jeremiah Warder, Jeremiah Parker and Richard Parker. The original seal of Virginia is inscribed on this deed. Original date of deed-November 28, 1781.

Handly and Company (a general store in Meadow Bluff, West Virginia) (1870), among others; 2) personal and business letters (4 items, 1895-1910) between Greenbrier County residents and others; and 3) legal papers (3 items), including a Greenbrier County Court document regarding the payment of a state license tax by John H. McPherson (1886), and documents regarding the estates of Joseph McMillion (1857) and Cavendish Knight (1870). Personal names throughout the collection include John C. Dice, John H.
