Includes information on the number of mines, production, acreage, house ownership, and employment numbers for Consolidation Coal Company, Fairmont Coal Company, Clarksburg Fuel Company, Pittsburgh and Fairmont Fuel Company, Southern Coal and Transportation Company, and Somerset Coal Company. This is followed by 52 plates showing photographs of various mine and coaling stations belonging to those six companies. Plates include details of capacity, type of mining (electric, compressed air), and haulage (electric, rope, mule).
