Charleston Newspapers Final Issue Printing Plates

Two printing plates for the front pages of the Charleston Gazette and Charleston Daily Mail on the date of the final editions of those newspapers. The final issues of each newspaper were published 15 July 2015. Starting 20 July 2015, the two newspapers were merged into a single publication, the Charleston Gazette-Mail. The printing plates are thin sheets of metal measuring 12 1/2 in. x 23 1/2 in.

The collection also contains 19 reels of microfilm regarding the Monongalia Office of Civil Defense. The collection includes 10 series.
