Artificial collection of papers relating to various cities in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

This collection consists of 114 boxes of papers, tape recordings of broadcasts, scrapbooks, printed materials, 1925-1968, etc., (ca. 50 shelf feet) from the files of Richmond Radio Station WRVA, Virginia's only 50,000 watt clear channel AM radio station.

This collection includes the genealogical correspondence and research of Elizabeth C. Denny Vann (1884-1977) and her sister Margaret C. Denny Dixon (1882-1964). The research is primarily concerned with the Brumback-Hotsinpiller and the Denny family lines. The material was compiled through extensive research in county records and by correspondence with genealogists and family members throughout the United States and England. The bulk of this collection contains the incoming correspondence to the two sisters.

These records consist of the correspondence and subject files created by the Director of the Department of Historic Resources. Files relate to initiatives, commissions, tourism, budget, and preservation. Specific subjects include the restoration of Capitol Square, Preservation Alliance of Virginia, Jamestown, Virginia Historical Society, Virginia History Initiative, and cemeteries. Included are studies, proposals, reports, resolutions, and memoranda.

The Don Eugene Detmer papers contain speeches, reprints, policy documents, committee meeting records, articles, correspondence, editorials, and born-digital materials that relate to the professional life of Don Eugene Detmer. Materials particularly document Dr. Detmer's work during 1973-2004 working at the Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin, the Department of Surgery and the Department of Medical Informatics at the University of Utah, the University of Virginia, and the University of Cambridge. Other materials relate to the Institute of Medicine, the UVA Health System, the American Medical Informatics Association, the China Medical Board of New York, the Friends of the National Library of Medicine, the American Association of Medical Colleges, and the Nuffield Trust.

Papers, 1976-2009, of Franklin P. "Frank" Hall (1938-2015) of Richmond, Virginia, who represented the 69th District in the Virginia House of Delegates. Includes legislative files, constituent correspondence, office files, campaign files, House Democratic Caucus files, and special media.

Papers, 1944-2004, of Charles McDowell (1926-2010) of Alexandria, Virginia, documenting his career as a reporter for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, panelist on the PBS program "Washington Week in Review," and other journalistic activities. Includes columns, correspondence and subject files, books, and videotapes.
