This collection is approximately 10.75 linear ft. and spans 1947-2017, however the bulk date from 1968-1999. This collection includes the organizational records of the AOEA including financial records, meeting minutes, correspondence, AOEA newsletters and newspaper articles, fundraising materials, and the history of this impressive organization.

Record Group 17 houses the scattered records of the Organized Women Voters of Arlington County. The collection measures 9.2 linear feet, and ranges from 1923 to 2015. Found in this group are scattered meeting minutes, membership lists, meeting announcements, by laws and constitution, financial documentation, memorabilia, and newsclippings. Of particular interest are the early meeting minutes and correspondence for the 1923 through 1925 period. The collection also houses several photographs of members at their various functions.

Record Group 98 houses the official records of the Arlington, Virginia, branch of Ki-Wives International, dating 1951-2000. Also included are some incomplete unofficial records of Ki-Wives International, dating 1964-2000. The record group measures approximately five linear feet.

Record Group 137 houses the records of the Arlington County Democratic Committee. The record group measures approximately 5.5 linear feet and dates from 1952 to 1978, with the majority of the materials dating from the 1960s. Types of materials include minutes, campaign flyers, sample ballots, delegate forms for local and state political conventions, precinct poll books, financial records, and clippings.

The materials in this collection have been created and managed by many different members of the John M. Langston Citizens Association. Dorothy Hamm and E. Leslie Hamm, Sr. were the last owners of the collection, both of whom were active members of the association since the early 1950s until the 1980s. As such, few items in the collection may be related to the other civic activities of Dorothy Hamm, such as Hamm's political and playwriting careers. However, since such materials are far and few between, and interwoven into the vast collection of Citizens Association materials, it is difficult to tell whether Hamm simply filed materials together or whether she promoted these activities in the Citizens Association.

Record Group 133 is primarily made up of textual materials, but also contains photographs and some memorabilia and audio-visual materials. The entire collection consists of 2.5 linear feet and date between 2001-2008, with the bulk of the material dating 2001-2002. This collection has three very different subgroups.

RG 27 contains materials collected by Beulah Shipley Goss and dates from 1932 through 1972, although the bulk of the papers fall between 1942 and 1959. The collection measures approximately .8 linear feet. This collection reflects Goss's volunteer activities with various organizations and contains correspondence, publications, clippings, photographs, and administrative records for those groups.

RG 135 holds material from Arlington County's Air Raid Warden Service from 1941-1943 and measures .2 linear feet. Much of the material is from Arlington County or the Washington metropolitan area and includes information about how to prepare your home for an air raid and specific information about combating a fire bomb or gas attack.

This collection contains materials relating to various Arlington organizations with which Robert Branch was involved, including the Arlington County Volunteer Fire Department #8, the Arlington Community War Fund Campaign, the J. M. Langston Citizens Association, and the Arlington Tuberculosis Association. Robert N. Branch's personal papers cover the years 1919 to 1958, but the bulk date from 1939 to 1945. The collection is small and only contains a few materials per topic area. The entire collection currently measures .2 linear feet.

RG 188, Wakefield High School Posters Collection, is approximately 90 posters created by students at Wakefield High School. These posters, made on school premises using school supplies, advertised school events, clubs, and activities circa 1970. Many of the events have a month and day listed on the poster and some reference local bands scheduled to appear. In keeping with the times and the creators, there were also several abstract drawings or interpretations of well-known people and sayings. There is one poster for a student election that has candidate photographs taped to the poster.
