This collection contains the entirety of General Samuel Vaughan Wilson's personal and professional papers, as donated to Hampden-Sydney College by his widow in 2019. Topics include the Vietnam and Second World Wars, the development of the United States of America's intelligence and counter-intelligence communities, military strategy, and Wilson's role as president of Hampden-Sydney College from 1992 until 2000.

This collection contains miscellaneous correspondence, documents, publications, and newspaper clippings pertaining to Hampden-Sydney College from 1776 through 1988, organized into folders by year. This primary source material was collected and originally organized by Paul L. Grier.

The collection consists primarily of email correspondence related to Mr. Cabell's position as a trustee of Hampden-Sydney College in the years 1992 through 1999. Topics discussed include trustee committee meetings and retreats, financial information, coeducation, information pertaining to college fraternities, and the implementation of various programs.

The Joseph D. Eggleston II Papers document Eggleston's tenure as president of Hampden-Sydney College from 1919 to 1939, as well as his retirement, when he continued to conduct genealogical research pertaining to Prince Edward County, Virginia, and to live on the Hampen-Sydney College campus. Primarily dating from 1934 to 1951, the collection includes copies of public addresses and presentations, photos, correspondence, newspaper clippings, historical documents used in genealogical research, addenda, and obituaries, including material related to fundraising for, design, and construction of the Watkins Bell Tower, named after Hampden-Sydney Professor Asa Dupuy Watkins and erected in 1934. The last series of this collection includes a bound typescript of historical and genealogical research written, conducted, and collected by Eggleston.

This collection containts manuscripts, galley proofs, printed publications, and correspondence related to Hoffman's novels, short stories, and plays.

The collection contains papers from Dr. Herb Sipe's office, transferred to Hampden-Sydney College Archives & Special Collections in the fall of 2022.

Inventoried collection of correspondence, poems, essays, mementos, and personal effects of Elizabeth Carrington Eggleston, daughter of former Hampden-Sydney College President Joseph DuPuy Eggleston, including numerous "jotting books" or commonplace books that Eggleston kept throughout her life.

The Josiah Bunting III Papers document Bunting's tenure as president of Hampden-Sydney College from 1977-1987 along with some documents relating to his tenure at Lawrenceville School and later at the Virginia Military Institute. Primarily dating between 1977-1987, the collection includes copies of public addresses, publications, correspondence, photos, newspaper clippings, items relating to the presidential search in 1976, and items relating to his departure and his work after departure.

The Dr. James Leutze Papers document Leutze's tenure as president of Hampden-Sydney College from 1987-1990, including additional documents related to his subsequent tenure at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The collection includes copies of public addresses, publications, correspondence, photographs, film slides, newspaper clippings, items relating to the presidential inauguration in 1987, and items related to his departure from the College.
