This collection contains the records of the West Virginia University Libraries Dean's Office from 1960 to 1998 during the tenure of Deans Dr. Robert F. Munn (served 1957 to 1986) and Dr. Ruth Jackson (served circa 1989-1999). Subjects include library automation, renovations to Colson Hall and the development of subject libraries such as law, health sciences and music. Formats include correspondence, reports, publications and meeting minutes.

This collection contains administrative records of the West Virginia and Regional History Center. The material includes correspondence, monthly and annual reports, visitor and acquisition statistics, Center policies and procedures, and records of preservation activities. There are also records regarding renovations and additions to WVU Libraries, and other general library documentation.

Subject files containing newspaper clippings related to West Virginia University from the 1880s to approximately 2006. Most articles are from the 1960s and 1970s. Subjects include campus athletics, buildings, graduating classes, committees, facilities, faculty and faculty publications, organizations, the Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system, and special events.

Records from the Office of Multicultural Programs, specifically pertaining to their work on events. Much of the collection pertains to Mountaineer Week, which is an event that celebrates Appalachian culture and heritage. Other materials pertain to programs like WVU Up All Night (also known as UpAllNight and WVUp All Night), which is an award winning late night program for students to participate in during the weekends; the Madrigal Dinner formerly hosted at the Mountainlair; movie viewing events; and more. Regarding the Mountaineer Week materials, the binders include correspondence, printed material such as promotional material, vendor forms (note that the 1995 binder starts in 1994 and includes vendor forms for the Jackson's Mill Jubilee), budgets and other financial documentation, clippings, etc. The binders focus on planning the various events that go into Mountaineer Week, including a beard growing challenge, races, children's activities, the craft fair, the country vittles dinner, turkey calling, storytelling, music, and more.

Administrative and operational records of WVU's Lambda Chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron, the national Home Economics honor society. Addendum of 2016/05/13 includes minutes, newsletters, clippings, historical research material, and oral history audio cassette sound recordings. Addendum of 2018/06/15 includes Lambda Chapter and Lambda alumni records, including member lists, alumni chapter meeting notes, a few photographs, the honor society's handbook, material from the 75th anniversary conclave of Phi Upsilon Omicron, and more. Papers of President David C. Hardesty, Jr. of West Virginia University. Before becoming President of West Virginia University, Hardesty was a lawyer and partner of Bowles, Rice, McDavid, Graff & Love (1973-1994) and West Virginia Tax Commissioner (1977-1980), among various other positions. After finishing his 12-year term as West Virginia University President (1995-2007), Hardesty was a Professor of Law at the West Virginia University College of Law (2007-2018). Some of the series titles in the addendum of 2019/09/03, including series 21-30, repeat some of the earlier series titles (e.g. both Series 7 and Series 21 are titled "Student Papers").

Records of the Native American Studies program at West Virginia University. Includes records of Ann Paterson, professor and first chair of the program, of Carolyn Reyer, professor, and of Bonnie Brown, current program coordinator. Also included are records regarding programming put on by the Program for Native American Studies, including the annual Peace Tree ceremony, the Native American Studies Teacher Institute (2009), and assorted retreats, presentations, trips, and more.
