Collections

Records of the activities and meetings of the Ware River Circle of the King's Daughters organization. Includes scrapbooks, pamphlets, meeting minutes, president's books, treasurer's record books, and photographs. It is important to note that included with this collection are a copy of the 1912 minutes of this same organization. It is unclear if the original records exist or if they were damaged, lost, or destroyed so the copy was retained with the records. Removable media is also included in this collection including VHS tapes, 3.5 inch floppy discs, and a compact disc of events, records, and treasurer's reports.

This collection contains a draft and an original manuscript of the Whittle Papers, original letters, and photocopies of original documents (with transcriptions), notes, books, and a copy of a photograph of Lt. William Conway Whittle. The collection was assembled by Warren Spencer, professor of history at Old Dominion University.

This collection comprises research done on former students, football teams, and athletics department accomplishments of Magnolia High School (MHS) in New Martinsville, West Virginia. The research was conducted by Warren Witschey, an MHS graduate. The most common types of materials are as follows:

Papers of the Watson and Haymond families of Marion County, West Virginia. Includes a journal, family financial and legal materials, correspondence, genealogical research materials, publications, photographs, a painting, and other material. The WCWM collection includes copies of the station publication, station logs maintained by DJs, news clippings about the station, playlists, correspondence, photographs, magazines and related material. Recordings include shows, the presidential debate between Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter held at the College of William and Mary in 1976, station promos by performers, related broadcasts, and public service announcements from the 1980s to 2008. WCWM is the student-run radio station at the College of William and Mary. It broadcasts in southeastern Virginia on 90.9FM.

This collection contains copies of the University of Virginia School of Law's public website. On that site, the School shares content documenting its work and the experiences of its students, faculty, staff, and alumni. This includes statistics, descriptions of school services, policies, center and program descriptions, links to affiliated organizations, news articles, videos, directories, marketing materials, short histories, and published research. While the website potentially reaches a broad audience, much of it is designed especially for the Law School's students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Other content on the website markets the School to applicants, donors, and employers.

The collection includes both colored and black-and-white prints of etchings, woodcuts, and linocuts by Werner K. Sensbach, depicting various University of Virginia buildings and a couple of landscapes. Also includes twelve preliminary sketches done by Sensbach of scenes from the University of Virginia and one for St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

The collection contains correspondents, a diary, genealogy, photographs, and printed materials, documenting the West-Callis family. The West-Callis family is a Virginia family, that includes Georgianna Calllis, daughter of William Callis and Elizabeth (Simmons) of Norfolk, Virginia. Her husband Albert West, who served in the Confederate Army building arsenals.
