John T. Parsons (1913-2007) was a manufacturer and inventor of numerical control, which is the application of computer technology to manufacturing processes. The John T. Papers include correspondence, memoranda, financial records, engineering drawings and specifications, files about civic affairs in Traverse City, Michigan, reading files and other materials.

This addition to the papers of Senator Harry F. Byrd, Jr., of Winchester, Virginia, contains ca. 3,100 items, (10 Hollinger boxes, one oversize folder, and 83 bound volumes, ca. 19 linear shelf feet) ca. 1925-1989, consisting chiefly of bound scrapbooks, bound copies of speeches and press releases, and Congressional Record speeches and inserts, documenting his life and career during his service in the U.S. Senate, 1965-1982; news clippings; a folder of material concerning the Winchester Junior Board of Trade; a report on the "Study of the Organization of the State Government of Virginia" (1947 Dec 29); and personal and professional correspondence during his eighteen years in the Virginia Senate.

Maryat Lee (1923-1989) was an American playwright and theater director who made important contributions to post-World War II avant-garde theater. She pioneered street theater in Harlem and later founded EcoTheater in West Virginia, a community-based theater project. Materials include reports, newsletters, correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, posters, manuscripts, notes, scripts, screenplays, published plays, genealogical research, journals, drawings, and paintings. Also present is a piece of stained glass created by Lee, a dress worn by Lee, and an EcoTheater T-Shirt.

The 1x1 Japan Exhibition Materials consists of artwork and architectural drawings submitted by 47 women for a collaborative exhibition coordinated between the Japan chapter of UIFA and the IAWA Center's 1x1 Initiative. The collection also includes documentation of the exhibition, including title plates, reports, programs, and posters.
