WWVU later became WNPB, a station of West Virginia Public Broadcasting. Some programs in the collection were produced by WNPB.

The collection contains two minute books and three folders of loose papers taken from the minute books, a copy of the Constitution of the Women's Students Association, a letter from Dean of Women Robert Hollingsworth and Peggy Thompson, Acting President, to the Women Students of the University of Virginia, 1946, enclosing a copy of the Constitution, and explaining various regulations and describing organizations that welcome women, and in what capacity. It also includes papers regarding women students at U.Va., including the typesetting copy and galley proof of the "University of Virginia Handbook for Women Students, 1948," a publication prepared by the Panhellenic Council and the officers of the Women Students Association. The handbook contains information one would expect to find in any new student handbook, with particular attention to the activities and organizations open to women's involvement. Also included is a copy of the Constitution of the Women Students Association and a map of the grounds with places of interest to women students highlighted including the new women's dormitory, the co-ed room and the office of the Dean of Women.
