This collection holds the historic financial records of the MVLA including accounting ledgers, tax documents, insurance papers, receipts, invoices, payroll lists, annual and quarterly budgets, financial statements and reports, policies, contracts, correspondence, and other miscellaneous items. Records in this collection contain information on the Association's financial accounting, revenue, expenditures, employees and employee benefits, investments, taxes, and other financial concerns. There is a very limited amount pertaining to fundraising efforts and/or private donations, which can be found in the files of Mount Vernon's development department (currently unprocessed). Bulk date 1870s-2000s.

This collection contains the entirety of General Samuel Vaughan Wilson's personal and professional papers, as donated to Hampden-Sydney College by his widow in 2019. Topics include the Vietnam and Second World Wars, the development of the United States of America's intelligence and counter-intelligence communities, military strategy, and Wilson's role as president of Hampden-Sydney College from 1992 until 2000.

The collection contains materials related to Dr. Carl A. Fehr's career as a music professor as well as his direction of William and Mary's choral program, The Common Glory, the Founders summer pageants and the Williamsburg Baptist Church choir. In addition to his reflections on choral direction and discipline, the collection includes extensive materials on Dr. Fehr's professional management of the College's choral program, a series of published choral programs, a collection of choral music, his teaching notes and curricula, correspondence, professional awards and memberships, as well as his dissertation and other academic credentials. The choral program is also extensively represented in Choir and Chorus communications, activities, group photographs, scrapbooks and publicity during the years of Dr. Fehr's directorship. In addition to the regular academic year choral program, the Choir's annual spring tours, special guest appearances and national broadcast performances are documented in correspondence, news clippings, photographs, scrapbooks, and audio recordings. The audio recordings were reformatted from their original reel-to-reel audiotape and LP formats and CDs are available for purchase. The John A. Owen, Jr. Papers consist of 15 boxes of archival material including letters, research notes, and documentation, and other items which reflect his professional activities from 1951-1995. The materials especially focus on diabetes, obesity, and endocrinology research; the relationship between pharmaceutical companies and physicians; federal regulations on prescription writing; and pharmacist-physician interaction. This collection is of special interest to scholars interested in the University of Virginia's clinical investigation during the 1960s-70s on diabetes and endocrinology; the relationship between pharmaceutical companies (and other organizations sponsoring basic research) and physicians; the effect of and response to federal legislation of the early 1970s which regulated prescription writing; the role of the pharmacist and their relationship to the physician; the interaction of the University of Virginia's department of medicine with the hospital's lab/pathology department; and the use of free samples from drug companies.

Records of the Institute for the History of Technology and Industrial Archaeology (IHTIA), an organization affiliated with West Virginia University, including reports and research papers regarding the history of industrial technology and preservation of historical sites, particularly within West Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region. This collection also includes photographs, negatives, and photo mechanical transfers of historical sites in these regions. Records, correspondences, authorizations for expenditure (AFEs), notebooks, ephemera, and blueprints, all documenting the Potomac Yard rail yard in Alexandria, Virginia.

This collection contains diplomas, certificates, photographs, newspaper clippings, a gold watch and a gold medal, a scrapbook, and many other pieces of memorabilia that belonged to Arthur J. Morris, class of 1901 and a benefactor of the University of Virginia Law Library.
