Projects and posters regarding West Virginia flowers and trees, as well as African wildlife. Projects include fifteen collections of leaves and flowers, labeled and mounted on cardboard. These project boards also include the wild flower conservation pledge and a poem about roadside flowers. The posters, distributed by the East African Wild Life Society include the zebra, water buck, lion, buffalo, and black rhinoceros. The collection also includes the following miscellaneous items: a quadrangle map featuring the Mason Dixon Line from Maryland and the lands west of the line; a program from the Hewitt Presbyterian Church for its eightieth reunion (October 14, 1951); an "at home" card for Mrs. Charles Montgomery Babb, Miss Babb, and Miss Lulu Babb; a brochure featuring the 1933 autumn rate schedules for Lake Mohonk Mountain House and Mountain Rest House in Ulster County, New York; an 1897 article from the Daily New Dominion featuring articles about West Virginia University president Dr. J. H. Raymond and Hon. James H Stewart, the director of the West Virginia Experiment Station; and a 1978-1979 member directory for Internal City Management Association, a professional and educational association of appointed administrators in city and county governments.

Of unique relevance to the University of Virginia Health System is the 8th Evacuation Hospital Collection. The "8th Evac." was organized and staffed primarily by University of Virginia physicians and nurses during World War II. The collection contains scrapbooks, memoirs, reports, and numerous photographs that recall the experiences of the men and women who provided medical and nursing care in North Africa and Italy during the war.

Abbye A. Gorin is an architectural researcher and writer of Metairie, Louisiana. Her collection contains a six-minute film entitled "The Rivergate, 1968-1995," produced by Barbara Coleman and written by Gorin and Betty Moss. The film was created as a tribute to the building and as a protest to its demolition. Also present are a 42-page "Catalog of Work," various magazines with articles about or written by Gorin, an audiocassette interview with the sculptor Angela Gregory, and a DVD containing 19 reissued interviews with Abraham Guillen and Samuel Wilson, Jr.

Papers of Ada Haldeman Ford, women's suffragist of Taylor County, West Virginia. Includes reminiscence, letters, and clippings documenting Ada Haldeman Ford's active role as a suffragist in Taylor County through 1920. There are also clippings and other materials regarding political matters dating through 1970. There are photographs and genealogies regarding the Ford and Haldeman families, and a collection of books (including bibles, foreign language textbooks, poetry, etc.). Artifacts include suffrage-era 48-star U.S. flags scaled to a size convenient for hand portability. These flags were labeled as the property of the Women's Democratic Club and Daughter's of Democracy, circa 1925-1940. Also includes a model of an engine (2 in. x 3 in. x 8 in.) invented by Daniel Haldeman, Ada Ford's grandfather.
