Because the bulk of the material concerns Cassell's position as Vice President for Administration, but the material is interfiled, the records have been kept together as one collection under RG 6/1/1.

The collection also contains papers of the Virginia Wilderness Committee (VWC), a grass roots conservation group that Dickerman led. Correspondence from his time at Oberlin College and while serving in the Army is included.
