Records of a local union of street car employees in Wheeling, West Virginia. There are minute books, correspondence, contracts, agreements, boards of arbitration hearings, and financial records, including membership figures and lists of members from the founding of the local to the late 1950s. The correspondence concerns mainly intra-union issues of seniority, transfers of membership, and local union governance, but there are also a few letters about Division 103's support of other organized workers and about the American labor movement. The records also include one folder of legal documents submitted to the Interstate Commerce Commission for consideration in its drafting of safety regulations for motor carriers. There is also an addendum [2010 February 03] of a copy of the March 1918 issue of "The Motorman and Conductor," a publication of this union.

Bound and loose typescripts, manuscripts, offprints and miscellaneous materials written or translated by Charles Marriott from 1894 to 1960. Included are untitled novels, two of his plays "Exit: A Tragedy in One Act" and "The Intruding Angel: A Play in Three Acts", 15 offprints of his articles, and a bound volume manuscript of his short stories. Also present are manuscript notebooks with records of his publications as well as manuscript notes and ideas for stories he projected.

This collection consists of ca. 2988 items (10 Hollinger boxes and oversize items), ca. 1787-1945, pertaining chiefly to the career of Egbert Watson Magruder as an agricultural chemist for the Department of Agriculture of Virginia and, later, for the F. S. Royster Guano Company of Norfolk, Virginia . Included are correspondence, reports, articles and speeches, laboratory data, architectural drawings and blueprints, printed material, and photographs. Egbert Watson Magruder collected material, 18981945, on various subjects related to the different aspects of his work, including agriculture, chemistry, chemists' associations, fertilizer, horticulture, livestock, and mineralogy. Also included are Magruder family papers, consisting of correspondence, legal and business papers, plats and surveys, and related papers. Topics or items of interest include several letters,1861-1863, from John Bowie Magruder during his service in the Confederate Army during the Civil War describing several battles, including Fredericksburg and Suffolk, and camp life at Fort Dillard, Fort Drury (near Fredericksburg), and on White Marsh Road near Suffolk; an 1861 account book kept by John Bowie Magruder for the Rivanna Guards; a letter, October 17, 1864, to Benjamin Henry Magruder from his son, Horatio Erskine Magruder while a prisoner at Point Lookout, Maryland, during the war; papers pertaining to the purchase of "Glenmore"; papers concerning various Virginia estates such as "Edgehill" and "Glenmore" in Albemarle County, "Blenheim" in Caroline County, "Union Mills" in Fluvanna County, and "River Bend" in Spotsylvania County; an account book from the Charlottesville Grange; and genealogical and biographical information for the Magruder family and allied families.

The Papers of Mary Johnston consists of ca. 4000 items, including correspondence (both personal and professional), literary manuscripts, dramatic adaptations, diaries, accounts and cashbooks, photographs, speeches and news clippings.

This collection primarily includes personal correspondence and legal and business papers of the Berkeley Family . Interfiled with these papers are extensive papers of the closely-related Noland family . The joined collection comprises about 20,000 items (ca. 85 Hollinger documents boxes on about 38 feet of shelving) dating between 1653 and 1930, with the heaviest concentration in the nineteenth century.

Records of Storer College, West Virginia's first African American institution of higher learning, located in Harpers Ferry. This collection contains mainly administrative and operational records of the college. Types of records include annual reports, publications, memorabilia, artifacts, and other material. This collection includes material regarding John Brown's Fort.

The Quo Vadis Wright papers contains correspondence, photographs, financial documents and scrapbooks documenting the family of Quo Vadis Williams Wright. Quo Vadis and her family primarily settled in Williamsburg, Virginia where she worked as a concierge and in hospitality for the Colonial Williamsburg foundation, Fort Magruder Inn, Howard Johnson, Mama Steve's Pancake House and Southern Pancake House. The collection documents African American History in Williamsburg, Virginia specifically as it pertains to the Quo Vadis Wright family and immediate community.

This collection includes artifacts, correspondence, legal records, photographs, and writings primarily related to Davis's publishing contracts. Letters between Davis and his lawyer Frederick Atherton form the bulk of the correspondence. In addition, the collection includes personal papers of Davis' wife, Delphine Markham Davis (1839-1928). Delphine, a graduate of the United States Medical College in New York, married Davis in 1885.

The collection consists of general files, committee minutes, forms from various camps, scrapbooks, photographs and case studies. The materials cover the period from 1893 to 1980. The majority of the materials in the Executive Director Files are organizations affiliated with the YWCA. Few of the Executive Director Files contain minutes or correspondence from the executive directors branch in Richmond. Activities held on the Richmond premises are documented in the executive director's files. A majority of the Board of Director files are based on board minutes, related information, and the nominating committee files. Materials from the Constitution, History, and Documents files contain revisions of their constitution and bylaws. There are also many documents on the history of the YWCA in Greater Richmond. National documents are included in the files as well, such as national convention documents.
