These annual reports contain statistical information on teachers, students, boards and libraries, and information about school funds. These reports are prepared and submitted by the School Division Superintendents to the State Board of Education. A separate report is prepared for each county and city and then bound into books.

Former employee cards, 1918-1972, of the Virginia Dept. of Education. Index cards include information about former employees of the Dept. of Education, which may include name, address, date of employ, date of birth, birthplace, race, marital status, and sex. There is also information about the job that the employee held, its annual pay, and any promotions that the employee earned throughout their time at the Department of Education.

Records, 1859-1861, of the Auditor of Public Accounts Harpers Ferry Fund, arranged chronologically into five boxes. The collection mainly consists of accounts and receipts, but also interfiled is correspondence, payrolls, special requisitions, and warrants. The records document the expenses incurred by the militia, individuals, and businesses during John Brown's Raid and detail the Auditor of Public Accounts reimbursements. For an unknown reason some of the records have warrant numbers, while the earlier records do not (1859 October - 1860 February).

Includes official board minutes and section meeting minutes, as well as board meeting packets that include agendas, draft minutes from the previous meeting and related attachments such as agreements, correspondence, financial statements, guidance documentation, legislation, notes, presentations, press releases, public hearing records and comments, regulations and reports. May also include informal fact finding committee minutes and conflict of interest statements.

Official minutes and related attachments documenting the meetings, activities, discussions and policy decisions, and recommendations of the Virginia Board of Dentistry. Also includes minutes for Committees and other groups (Credentials Committee, Clinical Exam Advisory Panel, Examination Committee, Executive Committee, Regulatory/Legislative Committee, Nominating Committee, Special Conference Committee, Dental Laboratory Workgroup (2012)), as well as records related to informal conferences, telephone conferences, formal hearings, public hearings, and new board member orientation.

Minutes, 1884-2019, include official minutes and related attachments documenting the meetings, activities, discussions and policy decisions and recommendations of the Virginia Board of Medicine. Includes minutes for standing committees and other groups (Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Legislative/Regulatory Committee, Committee of the Joint Boards of Nursing and Medicine, Credentials Committee, Committee on Certification of Clinical Psychologists), and other groups (Ad Hoc Committee on HIV; Ad Hoc Committee on Buprenorphine (2016-2017), Ad Hoc Committee on Ethics (2003), Advisory Committee on Certification of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons), as well as records related to informal conferences, telephone conferences, and formal hearings. Attachments may include agendas, aggreements, articles, bylaws, correspondence, draft minutes, financial statements, legislation, licensure lists, memoranda of understanding, policies, procedures, public hearing comments, presentations, publications, regulations/regulatory reviews, reports, resolutions, revenue reports, studies and workshop materials.

Includes minutes for the full board, business meetings, officer meetings, standing committees and other groups, as well as records related to informal conference committees, special conference committees, telephone conferences, and formal hearings. This series also contains board meeting packets that may include agendas, articles, bylaws, correspondence, draft minutes, examination statistics, Executive Director reports, guidelines, legislation, presentations, regulations, reports, revenue and expenditure summaries, statistical reports, studies, surveys, town hall/public hearing comments and tracking logs.
