This collection consists of correspondence between Wyndham Robertson and John G. English, a promissory note, and a copy of The Historical Society of Washington County, Virginia, Bulletin with a biography of Robertson.

The collection consists of an advertisement for a sale of public lots in Wythe County, Virginia, prepared in 1908.

The Yancey Family Papers contains correspondence between members of the Yancey and Everett families, accounts, receipts, the will of Christopher Taliaferro, and a facsimile Confederate Ten Dollar note. The material dates from 1808 to 1912.

The Yellow Sulphur Springs Hotel Collection is made up of materials related to the Yellow Sulphur Springs resort located near Blacksburg, Virginia. It contains ledgers and guest lists, correspondence with patrons and employees, and personal correspondence related to W.E. Hazlewood, owner and proprietor of the resort from 1915 to about 1923.

Records of the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) at West Virginia University (WVU). Includes brochures, budgets, calendars of events, correspondence, ledgers, memorabilia, minutes, newspaper articles, photographs, postcards, reports, rosters, scrapbooks, and telegrams. Topics include the national history of the YWCA (including the 1855/1955 YWCA centennial commemoration); the 1906 charter of WVU YWCA chapter; WVU YWCA and YMCA event invitations and programs (including vespers and officer installation service programs, annual international sales announcements, trips, 'Project Do Something' and Big Sister Program events, etc.); local history of the WVU YWCA chapter (including the WVU YWCA 50th anniversary commemoration); cabinet, membership, and advisory board rosters (including information by and about Betty Boyd, Assistant Dean (later, Dean) of Women, West Virginia University and ex-officio member of the WVU YWCA Advisory Board); advisory board minutes; and financial account books. Annual reports include: presidents' reports, 1923-1964; WVU YWCA annual reports, 1960-1978; annual reports to national YWCA, 1945-1971; advisory board annual reports, 1922-31, 1943-1961; cabinet members reports, 1949-1965. Scrapbooks for the years 1941-1948, 1954-1957, and 1973-1978, include: newspaper articles; event announcements and programs; brochures and pamphlets; YWCA membership applications and cards; postcards; color and black and white photographs of members, trips, and events; and other organization and event memorabilia.

The YWCA (Young Women's Christian Association) is the oldest and largest women's membership organization. The YWCA of South Hampton Roads first started as housing for working girls in 1893. Throughout their history, the YWCA chapters of Hampton Roads have advanced their purposes of empowering women and fighting racism by running women's shelters, camps, workshops, and various other programs. The collection consists mainly of photos, scrapbooks, and newspaper clippings, as well as some business and historical records of the organization.
