Blanton's (HSC Class of 1847) speech: Eulogy on virtues and services of General William Henry Harrison, dated April 1846. 5. Philip S. Blanton's (HSC Class of 1847) speech: U.S. Patriotism, Revolutionary Struggle. 6. Philip S. Blanton's (HSC Class of 1847) speech: Patriotism, 4th of July, dated July 4, 1847. 7. John H. Cocke's certificate of scholarship in the amount of $100 along with a note regarding Cocke and HSC in the 1840's.

Account Books 7 Boxes

The Account Books, SC-000200, contains 13 account books or ledgers written by various people. Some of the items track family accounts while others track business accounts. Not included in this collection are any daybooks or diaries pertaining to the daily lives of the individuals. Each account book spans a couple of years while some cover a larger amount of time but altogether, the account books were created in the 19th century.
